At Folk Factory we pride ourselves on being an open and inclusive community, creating a place and part for everyone, regardless of experience. The ensemble is led by the ideas and needs of the young musicians, so youth voice is very important to us! Come along to develop your musicianship and confidence, in a fun and creative ensemble. We have created quite a community over the years, and many of our young people meet up to play outside of the ensemble, forming their own sessions, jams, ceilidhs and bands, or just to hang out and have fun. The young musicians can also benefit from the contacts and support we can offer if they wish to pursue folk music further- many of our musicians perform yearly at Cambridge Folk Festival, so the ensemble is a great place to meet and perform with like-minded musicians.
