​Folk Factory - 10th Anniversary!

2026 marks 10 years of Folk Factory, and we’re planning a big celebration!

Next Summer we are hoping to hold the first ever youth folk festival in Sheffield. This 2 day event will be programmed by our young people, and jam-packed with workshops, dance-outs, ceilidhs, and performances. Different traditional/cultural groups from across Sheffield will be invited to take part, and we are also going to record a CD of our Folk Factory favourites to release at the festival.

Of course, such grand plans require lots of money so we’re asking for your help in supporting our young people with their fundraiser. We have applied for some funding but need to raise £3000 match funding. We are planning several performances this coming year; a sponsored walk and a cake sale, and the young people are going to plan some more fundraising activities.
