forge & fledge – instruments
Every Tuesday // 16th April - 21st May
6-7 pm
Shakespeare's, Gibraltar St, Sheffield, S3 8UB
Join us for 6 weekly sessions, aimed at intermediate to advanced musicians. We will be exploring all aspects of instrumental British folk music, no matter what level you play or perform.
Led by fiddle player Rosie Butler-Hall, we'll develop performance skills, build confidence in playing, and even learn some stagecraft. We will also be looking at technical skills such as how a basic PA system works, what microphone or amplification is best for your instrument and understanding the technical terminology used in sound engineering. We will also have some professional musician guests who will be open to answering any of your questions.
Each week we will build our repertoire of tunes whilst also building on those skills to help you feel your most confident and accomplished self.
