Folk Factory Dance
Wednesday 5.45 - 6.30pm

A lot of our young people were really keen to learn more about folk dance – so Robyn has founded a new folk dance class! An opportunity for children and youths to learn a variety of dance traditions from around the country, including rapper, longsword dancing, clog, and northwest morris.
Each group is £5 per week. Sibling discount and bursaries are available (email us!) We run alongside the school terms. Taster sessions are free, so come and try a session before signing up for the term!
Spring term: We are going to start the Dance group from half term (21st Feb 2024), and run up to Wednesday 27th March 2024 inclusive.
Wednesday 17th April 2024- Wednesday 17th July 2024 inclusive.
(Half term: 29th May 2024)
Use this pane to book from Spring half term! (Price for half a term)
At Folk Factory we pride ourselves on being an open and inclusive community, creating a place and part for everyone, regardless of experience. The ensemble is led by the ideas and needs of the young musicians, so youth voice is very important to us! Come along to develop your musicianship and confidence, in a fun and creative ensemble. We have created quite a community over the years, and many of our young people meet up to play outside of the ensemble, forming their own sessions, jams, ceilidhs and bands, or just to hang out and have fun. The young musicians can also benefit from the contacts and support we can offer if they wish to pursue folk music further- many of our musicians perform yearly at Cambridge Folk Festival, so the ensemble is a great place to meet and perform with like-minded musicians.
